Grace Campus Fellowship/Church believes that God Almighty has directed us as a body of believers to minister to the Purdue University campus community. In obedience to the great commission of Jesus Christ, we desire to reach out with the saving message of the gospel, and we hope to see many decisions for Christ each year. We hope to see dozens of house churches throughout the campus where a caring, sharing community is demonstrated with a strong emphasis on discipleship.
Every church member should have an opportunity to flourish in their relationship with Christ through personal study and small group interaction. As the Holy Spirit refines us, we believe every person can grow to discover their spiritual gifts and develop leadership potential. As God directs, we hope to send teams of people to start new churches, individuals into full-time ministry and other graduates to places throughout the world to obey Jesus’ great commission.
“Reaching, Building, Training and Sending tomorrow’s church leaders today.”
Reaching – To train men and women from the Purdue campus community who are excited about the saving message of Jesus Christ and are routinely communicating the gospel to a hurting, confused, directionless generation that one day has an appointment with eternity.
Building – That members may grow together in their relationship with God through House Churches, Life Groups, worship services, retreats, and fellowship. Like a family, we will be learning, laughing, and enjoying one another so that the love of Christ is truly seen.
Training – That men and women have no greater joy than to see fellow believers helping each other through the ups and downs that every person faces in this life – where marks of maturity are not what you know, but how you’ve taken what you know and applied it to your life and the lives of other people.
Sending – That in time, when graduates of Purdue go into varied careers around the country, their real job will be seeking the Kingdom first. That other graduates respond to a life of full time ministry in this country and abroad. That our community rises to the challenge of local mission opportunities so that their influence changes the lives of the people around them at work and in their neighborhoods.
